How is this different from a Query Loop with a post excerpt?
A core Query Loop gives you the same excerpt in the same shape every time. This gives each preview its own layout, type, colour and image treatment, so a listing can be composed like a front page rather than stacked like a feed. It still renders server-side inside a Query Loop, so automatic listings keep the design control.
Can I pick the post myself, or does it have to be automatic?
Either. Search for and select a specific post per block, or drop the block into a Query Loop and let it fill itself.
Which post types work?
Any of them. Articles, products, events – if it is a post, it can be previewed. Multi-author bylines come through correctly, including Co-Authors Plus.
Can it show posts from a different site?
Yes. Configure another WordPress site and pull its articles into one front page.
What happens if I stop paying?
The block keeps working. You stop receiving updates and support, and nothing already published breaks.
